Hi Guys, the first Street Fighter x Tekken tournament is finally here. 

There will be both 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 categories with a £5 entry per person in each categories. 

There will be free to play lessons in the game and fighting games in general with some of our best players.

We will be recording, commentating and uploading the tournament to youtube.

We are also offering the usual cheap drinks and pizza from Dominoes.

We are still running our other titles as well.

Soul Calibur 5

Hi guys, well we have a new fighting game around the corner and i have to admit that this time last week i wasn't that hyped for it. I mean adding EX moves, SUPERS and finishing moves just made me feel like it was going to be 'cheap' and full of gimmicks but now i've seen a couple of walk-throughs and some descent play I have to admit.... IT LOOKS AWESOME. One word... ZWEI!!!  

Leagues Start January 10th

Hi guys just to let you know that new leagues start on January 10th, all major titles including Fifa 12 Marvel vs Capcom, Call Of Duty MW3 are all back with a bang and with valuable points up for grabs why not try your luck?

There is also going to be a special Gears of War 3 horde challenge have a look at the gears of war section on the right for more details.

Membership Scheme

Starting January 17th we will have a membership and reward scheme that breaks down like this.

Cost:

It will cost £25 for the rest of the academic year.

Benefits:

Exemption from all non tournament playing costs

The ability to borrow any game we have for a week at a time.

Tournament entry cost is reduced to £3.50 from £5.00 (this will not affect the size of cash pot prizes)

You will receive points each time you attend the Barcade and additional points for each tournament you enter each week.

If you place in the top three for attendance points at the end of the year (June 1st 2012) you will receive either a £10, £20 or £30 gift card from Gamestation or Game.

Ultimate MVC3 Launch Party 22nd November

A brand new fighting game is upon us and its one that i'm really excited about. When Marvel vs capcom 3 came out earlier this year it brought alot of hype with it. It introduced us to a whole lot of new players who were interested in learning the game. So this time around its all about new players. I will be getting some of the best players I know (who are all tournament players but i won't name them because its the internet) to teach any new players about the game.

Remember that with all the new characters and changes we are all noobs in a sense.

We will be holding a tournament on the day to give new people a taste of the Marvel hype, we will be recording a commentated video for youtube so if you would like to join in with the commentary thats cool as long as your either funny or have a geeky level of knowledge about the game.

The venue is Bucks new Universities White Room

Call of duty launch party!!

Well COD is coming around once again and the Barcade is planning a massive event in association with Game Station High Wycombe. Here are the facts:

MIDNIGHT LAUNCH

Location:
Held at Gamestation High Wycombe

Time:
10pm until 1am Monday 7th November

Equiptment:
6 XBOX 360 consoles set up with mw3 from 10pm. Yes that means you can play the game EARLY!!!

Competition:
We will be running a tournament to determine the winner of a free copy of MW3

Random stuff:
Special army units will be turning up to show off some gear

LAUNCH PARTY

Location:
Bucks new uni's white room venue

Time:
Doors open at 4pm as usual and we wil be running untill midnight

Machines:
We will be running a minimum of 8 machines but we will hopefully be able to run at least 12 with help from you guys bringing down copies for me.

Competition:
We will be running a cash entry cash prize tournament. Prize money will be determined by the number of entries so please come down and support us.

Random stuff:
Gamstation staff will be present with some giveaways.

Gears Of War 3 Tournament Update

Hi guys I've been working on a few things for next weeks tournament. There will be an official 'program' for Gears Of War 3 that details the rules and regulations, it also has info on prizes, maps ect..... check it out below. There will also be similar rules sheets for each game at the event so that everyone is clear as to how they are playing each game.

BARCADE LAUNCH PARTY with GEARS 3 2-on-2 tournament

Announcing the Launch event for this years Barcade at Bnu will be a Gears of war special. We will be setting up 8 machines with GEARS of WAR 3 and we will be hosting a 2 on 2 team tournament and a singles side tournament if time allows. Entry fee will be £5.  Entry to the venue will be from 4pm, the tournament will start promptly at 6pm. Head to the Gears section on the right for more details.

KINECT ONSLAUGHT

We are expanding our Kinect games line up in time for our launch this year at Bucks New Univerity on the 4th October 2011. You will be able to play all these games in your uni bar every Tuesday.
